Bingo Survey

Traffic ran a bingo survey in 2005, and gathered some
interesting research on bingo habits. First we discovered
that in the thousands we surveyed bingo players were not
just older women. Online bingo
players were all ages.

Peak age grouping at around Year of
Birth of 1960 or mid-forties in age.
Another smaller peak was people in their
mid-twenties.
Mean age was around 42 years.
The majority
of bingo players we surveyed shop for groceries once a
week.
We also asked which other games they enjoy playing.
Poker was a leading favorite, followed by blackjack,
card games, solitaire, and then slots. Another
frequently mentioned game was Monopoly.
And, surprisingly enough, although the survey
was done online, many of the survey responders said they
only enjoyed live bingo events:
44.8 percent prefer to play live
bingo
50.8 percent prefer to play online
Trends show that with older players - playing at
live events is slightly more popular. With younger
players, online play is preferred. But these were
very slight differences.
